our 2nd most popular manicure! this service includes all of the prep steps from our basic manicure. a gel manicure uses a type of polish that is thicker than regular nail polish. it is painted on the nail the same way you would apply regular polish (base coat, two coats polish, and top coat) except it is cured or hardened in and LED light (no Uv lights here!) for 30 seconds. this results in longer lasting manicures (about 2 weeks) without chipping or smudging and with some shine! you are completely dry when the service is complete. glitters may be added to customize your manicure colors and styles as well! this is perfect for the client who needs a little more support & durability on their nails. i proudly use young nails maniq for my gel polish. to remove a gel manicure, it is best to have it done in the salon. it can be buffed off with a regular file or with the e-file or soaked off with acetone. never peel your gel polish off!
our most popular manicure! anc or amazing nail concepts is a step up from a gel manicure as far as durability. this manicure will last you about 3+ weeks! the process is interesting for an anc manicure. it takes about 1 hour from start to finish. the nail is prepped with a regular file. i never use an e-file/dremel or drill to prep the natural nail. the nail is filed to your desired shape. cuticles are conditioned and trimmed if needed. a clear gel base is applied to the nail and then dipped into a clear base powder. next, the nails are again painted with a clear base and dipped twice into your choice of colored or glitter powder. an activator is applied to harden the gel base. imperfections are then smoothed out with a nail file and a top coat is applied. nails are dry within 2 minutes. Cuticles and hands are then moisturized. this manicure is great for anyone looking to grow their natural nails out longer, anyone is looking for more strength and durability, or a long lasting 3+ week manicure. anc manicures are removed in the salon by soaking in acetone to remove the product. they should never be ripped off and can damage the nail bed.
